Aurico provides background screening of potential employees of client companies. (The client companies are the customers of Aurico.)
Customers submit a review packet to Aurico. A clerk reviews the information to ensure that it is complete and the customers desired services are specified. If anything is missing, the packet is returned to the customer with a missing items form.
Packets that are determined to contain all of the required components are then recorded. If it is a new customer, then the customer details are recorded in the customer file along with a system-generated customer ID. Then the customer ID, a Job ID, the date, the documents and the services to be performed are recorded in the review file. Job ID is sent to the customer.
Every morning the analyst retrieves information on all the packets that came in the previous day. For each packet, the analyst sends out a request for information to the appropriate Verification Specialist. A list of Verification Specialists and their specialties is consulted to determine which Verification Specialist is appropriate.
Periodically the Verification Specialist returns an investigation reports to Aurico. A clerk records the results in the review file.
At any time, a customer can contact Aurico and be told the status of their packet(s). The status would be related to how many of the investigation reports have been received.
Once all of the investigation reports for a packet have been received, the status of the packet becomes completed. Each afternoon the system checks for all completed packets and for each of those a results report is created and sent to the customer. The status of the packet is then changed to reported.
Azure Isle Resort has a pricing structure for vacationers in one of its three dwelling categories: the hotel, villas, and beach bungalows. The base price is for staying in the hotel. Beach bungalows have a 10 percent surcharge and villas have a 15 percent surcharge. The final price includes a discount of 4 percent for returning customers. Further conditions apply to how close to capacity the resort is and whether the requested date is within one month from the current data. If the resort is 50 percent full and the time is within one month, there is a 12 percent discount. If the resort is 70 percent full and then time is within one month, there is a 6 percent discount. If the resort is 85 percent full and it is within one month, there is a 4 percent discount.
