Kolb asserts that learners have a particular learning style much like handedness. In other words, we are either left-handed or right-handed: Period!

There is noooooo in between.

Kolb states that we can expect to have in our training workshops a diverse group of learners who (each) can only take in information through only one of the three learning modalities.

Learning modalities refers to how information is received from the environment into human brains. Humans receive information through their five senses: hearing, seeing, smelling, tasting, and touchinghumans' five senses.

The modalities Kolb depicts in his model are: "Visual, Auditory, and Kinesthetic learning styles, or modes. I would like to update Kolb's VAK and add Introspective.
