Select one of the tools of advertising and create a short storyboard using an idea generated earlier in the course. Using the idea I generated in Module 7 (the Division Technique), the advertising tool that I will be using is the Inversion technique. Using this technique I will be advertising a suitcase where the extra pockets on the inside are removed and put on the outside for extra storage of small accessories/items. As this technique conveys what would happen without the product in an extreme way, this is the idea I'm thinking: The ad will consist of a busy airport with people everywhere, long lines, busy traffic, and lots of chaos happening. Next it will show someone running through the airport carrying all of their belongings: shoes, clothes, toiletries, electronics, etc. This person is dropping all of their items and things are falling everywhere. It will have a second part of the ad where the person is finally getting on the plane. still carrying all their things. They are shoving these items in the overhead bins and once again, things are going everywhere. This ad will show the extremities of the benefits "lost" rather than showing the product within the advertisement. Using the product I generated from applying the multiplication technique in module 6 . I'm going to apply Inversion tool of advertising. Using the multiplication technique I chose to upgrade the cameras on the back of the iPhone to make the videos and pictures come out with a lot higher quality by having it capture more light pixels. The Inversion technique shows the benefits that are lost when you don't have the product, rather than showing the actual product. My advertising for the new iPhone with the updated camera would just show a bunch of a child's memories being captured on a phone whether they are pictures or videos but they always came out blurry, and at the end of it I would say, "Don't miss out on these unforgettable memories, switch to an iPhone and you never will again." The ad will have pictures like the one below
