a. Provide two (2) examples of explicit performatives and (in one sentence) describe the situation in which each would be used.

b. For each of the explicit performatives in a., provide an implicit performative that could be used in its place. Using semantic terminology, briefly describe the circumstances in which the implicit performance could be used and how it differs from the explicit performative.
