It provides an overview of management information systems and demonstrates how the effective and collective use and dissemination of information is vital to organizational functioning and issues such as ethical social and political Assignment Tasks You are expected to search for any company/organization/enterprise in Oman that is using a computer-based information system. Conditions for selecting the company/organization/enterprise: The following requirements must be met in choosing the company/organization/enterprise:

1. The company/organization/enterprise must be operational in Oman and must have a different departments or sections.

2. Different departments/sections must be managed by single Information System/Enterprise Application.

3. The company/organization/enterprise should have a clear recorded history on how they planned, designed, and implemented their information system.

Questions (100 Marks):

Student needs to write a report, not more than 1000 words. The study report provides the following, Understanding of current information system, strategies of selected company.

Impact of Information system on business operations of selected company.

Intelligent information of technologies used for selected company.

In this context student need to complete the following tasks:

1) Task 1 (25 Marks) Discuss the current the Information System types and models use to manage the business process of the selected organization. The answer must describe the process flow of each department and explain how the IS supports their routine operations and decision making.

2) Task 2 (25 Marks) Classify/Identify the strategies applied for using the Information System to manage the functionalities of the selected organization. The answer must describe the process flow of each department and explain how the IS supports their routine operations and decision making.

3) Task 3 (25 Marks) Describe information of technologies used for selected company applied (both Hardware and Software) in the development of their Information System (IS). Your answer must cover the software features, hardware components, specifications for implementing the IS for the selected company

4) Task 4 (25 Marks) Suggest latest technologies which could help the betterment of existing Information System in terms of both hardware and software components and avoid the social, legal and ethical issues. Please write valid justification for your suggestion which could cover the issues of the existing Information System.
