So for this week, a while back I worked on a software development team for an autonomous vehicle. This vehicle was in what was called the DARPA challenge, 2 times. In this second event it had to be able to drive around in city( an old army base I belive was used for this). It had too be able to stop /start at stop signs, be aware of other vehicles, park, etc.

I worked on the brake system, spent about 10 hours in a test vehicle with the brake manufacturers software engineers, learning thier CAN (Controller Area Network) package, this is the message system that automotive/marine use for communication between thier components, brakes, transmission, engine, etc. Like the intenet protocol.

So for discussion, lets look into autonomous vehicles.

What kind of AI do you think could go into these vehicles? , As in what could it be able to do?

Could this really work? Would this be safer, or less safe?

Ex, maybe the AI would be like Alexa, could say something to it like, "Alexa, Take me to the mall."
