Stem cell research has been a hot topic since it was first thought of to use for medical advancement. The main research that has individuals in an up roar is cloning, but stem cells can be used for more than that. They find new ways to make vaccines from them and other medications that could possibly save lives. Many individuals are outraged for the use of stem cells and they have their right for it as well. As for now their is no regulations on stem cell research. They can harvest it if individuals are willing to give it up because the main way the collect it is through umbilical cords after the birth of a child. This in most religions is not what they want or believe to be ethical. Another reason for the hesitation in stem cell research is that it does not always work and there are deaths related to this type of research. Though there are deaths with any research that is experimental this type of research sticks more than others because of what it is and where it come from. Until there are regulations in place and positive outcomes from it then there will be parties against it
