"From the research you conducted on the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) models, identify which model you would recommend for the IT organization at GGFRT? Relate your choice to one of the strategic objectives of GGFRT and thoroughly explain your answer. In addition, please discuss potential challenges to the successful implementation of the model.
Through my research of SDLC models I have concluded that a Rapid application development would most benefit GGFRT. Although it may seem like this model may waste time due to its emphasis on multiple iterations and upgrades, GGFRT has an IT portfolio of projects in development that are past the system initiation phase and have strict compliance requirements. Therefore, using the RAD development style prototypes for consideration and upgrade would be preferred, KissFlow suggests that "this helps ensure that the final outcome is more quality-focused and aligns with the end users requirements." This SDLC would be very effective and synergize with the strategic objectives of GGFRT, as the listed internal IT strategy states to meet compliance requirements by updating current technology or develop/acquire new technology. The RAD process is defined by is user design phase which requires the software to be developed tested and refined continually through by analysis of the input of user requirements, testing, and stakeholder suggestions. This would allow for the more cost-effective option of upgrading current technology while delivering a quality product that meets stakeholder requirements.
However, this SDLC could result in scope creep if not managed properly by a strong project team and manager."
