Topic: From the research you conducted on the System Development Life Cycle SDLC models, identify which model you would recommend for the IT organization at GGFRT Relate your choice to one of the strategic objectives of GGFRT and thoroughly explain your answer. In addition, please discuss potential challenges to the successful implementation of the model.
What do you think about this response to the topic above? Do you agree with it And why? What is your suggestion to improve the response?
"For GGFRT I would recommend the implementation of the Agile SDLC model because it would facilitate collaboration across departments as new systems are developed. GGFRTs three main systems: freight tracking, warehousing, and financial reporting systems all require input from multiple departments for daily operations, thus making Agile's approach a sensible option. By bringing together the different departments at the start of new projects, systems and solutions can be built with the usage of all departments in mind.
The Agile approach of "open communication, collaboration, and adaptation" would be helpful when creating new features like route optimization or modernizing the Precise Financial Reporting System. Rather than each department working separately, teams would work together in short cycles, getting feedback from each other, and then making improvements along the way. This approach, however, does come at the cost of time and commitment. Scheduling meetings could be difficult if the representatives of the departments are too busy, and the constant meetings could be tiring after some time."
