Using what you learned from the first chapter of Rules for Writing, the mini-lecture on the writing process, and your many years of practice as a writer in previous classes, outline the steps of a successful writing process for you. Be specific! Make sure you include the steps you will do as you explore/plan (stage 1), draft (stage 2), and revise (stage 3) any writing assignment. Please number the steps for easier reference in question 2. This is a general writing process, not one just for paper 1. There are guidelines for outlining in the mini-lectures or pages 12-14 in Rules for Writers, though you may simply number the steps if you wish. If you use standard outlining format, your three main points with Roman numerals will be I. Exploring/Planning II. Drafting III. Revising. The sub-steps under Roman numeral I (Exploring/Planning) might begin with something like these sample sub-steps:
