Writing a detailed written assessment that challenges the traditional legal regimes governing the use of military force,
Question:
Writing a detailed written assessment that challenges the traditional legal regimes governing the use of military force, addressing key jus ad bellum and jus in bello legal concerns along with their related political, practical and/or other implications of the UN Peacekeeping Mission in Democratic Republic of Congo, MONUSCO. The assessment must address possible legal concerns both with the underlying justification for military action and the specific way it was conducted, along with the 'so what' question of whether these legal concerns (or lack thereof) have had any meaningful implications (e.g., for the effectiveness of the operation itself, for the parties to the conflict more generally, and/or for conducting or regulating future conflicts). Provide the background to the establishment of MONUSCO, its mandate and how it has contributed to the peacekeeping mission in the region. If Possible, refer to relevance academic sources, including Christian Henderson's "the use of force and international law".
