Option 1
Compare three payroll providers, for example, ADP, and compare them on six criteria
that you find necessary for the payroll function. Examples of criteria include cost for a
payroll run, T4 and year-end processing capability, etc.

Option 2
Compare three types of payroll software, for example, Sage, and compare them on six
criteria that you find necessary for the payroll function. Examples of criteria include cost
for the software, T4 and year-end processing capability, etc.

Rubric (/12 marks)
The assignment compares three companies/software companies: 3 marks
The table contains criteria appropriate to compare the companies/software companies
selected; 1 mark for each criterion for up to 6 marks.
The content is correct and provides detail for the reader to understand the content: 1
mark for satisfactory/vague information; 2 marks for clear and concise.
